Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Bret Ferris, the co-owner with his wife, Tammy of Ferris Northwest Guide Service, LLC is a third-generation steelhead and salmon fisherman who has been guiding many of the inland and coastal rivers for over 15 years. Bret is one of the few fully licensed inland fishing guides and owns and runs a coastal charter business in Washington State.
Bret holds a Salmon and Steelhead Guides License, United States Coast Guard License for inland and offshore fishing in the ocean, and is a Washington State Emergency Medical Technician for over 30 years. In 2012, the Director of Fish and Wildlife appointed Bret to serve on the Grays Harbor Advisory Board for a two-year term.
During the summer months you will find him chasing King salmon, Coho, Lingcod and bottom fish out of Westport, Washington. In the fall he will be chasing Coho up the Satsop and Chehalis rivers in his jet boat, fishing for winter run steelhead through March in his drift boat, and then onto Spring Chinook through the end of May fishing out of either the jet boat or drift boat.
